Meet Amanda

Owner of the Interior design company South of First, Amanda describes her style as "California Cool" with an emphasis on Modern Laid Back Living.

 

I like to joke that I was quite literally born to design homes! I’m the daughter of an interior designer and life-long realtor® so creativity, style and an eye for potential was, no doubt, in the blood!

 

After achieving a BA in Business Administration from Azusa Pacific University, I was fortunate enough to get my feet wet in the industry at a premier Bay Area design-build firm. Learning from the ground-up, I started as an apprentice and climbed the ranks to designer.

 

After turning my know-how into a handful of complete whole home renovations of my personal dwellings I decided to launch my own firm! My design projects can include concept sketches, material mood boards, furniture selection, layouts, + styling. I describe my style as “California cool” with an emphasis on modern laid back living. I love to incorporate vintage furniture + accessories and loads of texture for an eclectic, “lived in” vibe. There’s nothing {California} cool about a sterile, unwelcoming space! When I’m not making over homes, you can usually find me vintage shopping or chasing after my three young children at the ball fields!
